WINTER PARK EXPRESS + POWDER

WHEN: All weekend / Amtrak train leaves at 7 AM and drops you at Winter Park at 9 AM
WHERE: Union Station (1701 Wynkoop) to Winter Park Resort, and back
COST: One way tickets start at $29
WHY YOU SHOULD GO: This is a really awesome experience in itself, but especially with the recent dumps in Colorado’s Front Range and northern mountains. Travel has been insane along I-70 and 40 with road closures and delays from weather and avalanche mitigation, on top of the normal ski traffic. Take the train. The snowpack has been deliciously magical at Winter Park with plenty of powder stashes — sniff yourself out some rowdy lines, you friggin’ powder hound.
